Noboru Yamada is president and chief executive officer (CEO) of DENSO's Chinese headquarters, DENSO (CHINA) Investment Co.,Ltd. (DICH) and managing officer at DENSO Corporation in Kariya, Aichi, Japan.

After graduating from Osaka University of Foreign Studies (currently integrated to Osaka University) with a degree in Chinese in Osaka, Japan, Yamada joined DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co., Ltd.) in 1973, where he began his career at the Osaka Branch of OE Sales Department.

In December 1994, following a series of positions in the Sales group and Administration Center, Yamada transferred to the China Project Department. After broadening his knowledge of the Chinese market, Yamada was named President of Tianjin DENSO Electronics Co., Ltd. in China, in July 1997. In this position, he contributed to the business expansion of electronics products, including engine ECUs.

In February 2003, Yamada was appointed president and CEO of DENSO (China) Investment Co., Ltd., the regional headquarters for China, at the time of its establishment. There he led DENSO's business expansion in China, including establishments of several subsidiaries, and he also promoted the group's competency.

In June 2010, Yamada was named one of DENSO's managing officers.

DENSO, a leading global supplier of advanced automotive technology, systems and components, employs approximately 120,000 people in 34 countries and regions, including Japan. Consolidated global sales for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 totaled US$32.0 billion.
